Who we are

ACDI is a non-profit organization with a vision to promote lasting improvements in the lives of local under privileged children.

ACDI is made up of a team of volunteers from diverse backgrounds with a common aim of contributing to improving the quality of life and education of children.

ACDI believes that education is the key to empowering this community in the long term and that is the driving force behind our interventions.

ACDI impact on the community

Physically, the impact of ACDI’s activities is easily quantified. There was no electricity, the crumbling walls were unfinished, the external walls, doors were being used as blackboards and the structural problems overwhelming when we discovered this school.

Morale was at an all time low with absenteeism being the major problem. Since these small improvements have been made; full attendance has been recorded.
The disillusioned teachers have returned and morale amongst the existing teachers
has improved.

Support from the local church was solicited and they have provided temporary housing for the local school we are working with.
